A raw chat export is a wall of text: system lines, emoji, forwarded blocks, deleted-message markers and attachments referenced but not shown. On its own it is hard to read and harder to rely on.

Yes, though a native export is preferable because it retains timestamps and sender names. With screenshots we transcribe exactly what is visible and note any gaps.
